Let Freedom Ring!

I love this holiday. Of all the historical events I've read up on, the Revolutionary War has always captured my heart. I treat it with reverence and respect, and appreciate eternally what was birthed from it. This weekend we will be celebrating early with family, and will not be hosting a excursion until next week. Two Excursions this Week!

Happy Summer, everybody! We'll be at Canon Hill park tomorrow at 2PM looking for turtles and frogs, come join us if you can!

On Saturday we'll be visiting the Old Liberty Park Ruins for a quick tour, then we'll head over to Liberty Park so the kids can play. Check out our Facebook page for details!

Kids Yoga at Manito

This weeks destination/activity is a fun new adventure for us! Jamie will be doing a short, 15-minute yoga class for the littles, so be sure to bring your mats if you have them, and feel free to join in on some fun and simple stretches in the park! We'll be meeting at lower Manito near the gazebo. After yoga, everyone is free to explore or play at their own leisure and convenience.

Crystal Falls

Our second excursion will be in the beautiful wilderness of Colville, Washington. There is a small pull-off area for cars, and parking is free. There are no facilities, so remember to use the restroom before getting there! Please bring a sack lunch and remember to dress for the weather, we hope to see you there!

Hello, hello! My goodness, moving is crazy. Life is crazy, but here I am! I promise I haven't forgotten about this. And can you believe it? Only 3 days till our first hike! I'm SO excited to kick this off Mother's Day weekend! The weather will be rainy and cool, so be sure to dress accordingly, and remember to purchase a Discover Pass if you haven't already -OR- contact me about carpooling, I do have some seats available. We really hope to see you there, rain or shine!

Seven years later, this idea is finally coming to fruition! Long before we had a whole gaggle of kids, my sister-in-law and I dreamed of planning a summer of outdoor adventures with our kids, complete with a blog and calendar that would hopefully encourage other parents to join us on our excursions. We've made a list of outdoor destinations to explore in the Inland Northwest, all of which will be found on our calendar page! We'll be hitting it off Mother's Day weekend at one of our favorite spots, The Bowl and Pitcher. Please check back often for time and place details and JOIN US! Our goal is to have one outing a week through the rest of spring and summer, so whether you're settled here or just passing through, we would genuinely love to have you. 2017 is going to be a year of falling in love with where we live!
